Pet Care Specialist (Dog Walker & Pet Care Team Member)
Black Magic Dog Training is a growing behavior-focused dog training and pet care company serving the greater Seattle and South Sound area. We’re looking for reliable, compassionate, dog-savvy people to join our pet care team as Pet Care Specialists.

Our team members provide dog walks, drop-in visits, enrichment care, feeding, medication administration, and occasional overnight or extended care for client pets.
This is more than “just walking dogs.” We aim to provide thoughtful, enrichment-focused care that builds trust with both dogs and their humans.
What You’ll Do
Daily Responsibilities
- Dog walking
- Drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and other household pets
- Feeding and refreshing water
- Administering medications (when needed)
- Cleaning up pet messes and maintaining tidy visit areas
- Providing enrichment, play, and companionship
- Sending visit updates and photos through our pet care software
- Communicating professionally with clients and management

Professional Dog Trainer

We are a behavior-focused training company serving the greater Seattle and South Sound area. Our work ranges from foundational obedience and puppy development to advanced behavior modification, working breeds, sport foundations, and real-world rehabilitation cases.

About the Role
This position is structured as an Independent Contractor role.
Trainers operate independently while working under the Black Magic Dog Training umbrella for branding, referrals, and client acquisition support.
Depending on experience and availability, trainers may provide:
- Private in-home lessons
- Day training
- Behavior modification programs
- Puppy training
- Virtual coaching
- Sport foundations and enrichment
- Advanced obedience
- Working breed development
Trainers may work from:
- Client homes
- Their own homes
- Approved training locations
- Future BMDT facility spaces (when available)
Ideal Candidates

Qualifications
Required
- Professional dog training experience

- Sport dog experience (IGP, PSA, obedience, etc.)

Formal certifications are welcome but not required. Demonstrated skill, professionalism, and handling ability matter most.
